April? WTF?

I can't believe it's April already. It seems like only moments ago that it was Christmas and of course, since then the world has been turned upside down and been ever-so-slightly fucked over.

I had a couple of projects on the go. Well, they're still on the go, they've just been delayed. I've been lucky enough to remain employed through this crisis thus far, which is good for me, but possibly not for you. If I had been unfortunate enough to be stood down from work, I'd have been presented with a whole heap of free time in which to write.

I did manage to squeeze out a little COVID-appropriate tale though, so I hope you'll take a look and buy a copy!

A long overdue Update

Just on the off chance that someone is still reading this, I thought I'd give a quick update as to what I'm currently working on.

There's three things in the works:

1. A collection of short stories about exhibitionists and voyeurs
2. A sequel to I Dare You
3. A story about a woman that resorts to sexual favours to save her business.

I haven't had much time to write lately, so that's limiting me from putting time frames around publishing, but hopefully at least one of them will be hitting your screens soon!

My poor neglected Blog!

I've been thinking that I'm overdue for an update here for quite some time, I just haven't quite managed to actually do anything about it ... until now at least.

So what have I been up to? I have actually been writing, so you'll be pleased to know that much. I've actually finished my little romance side project that's only taken me three years or so to get around to. Terrible of me, but at least I finished it. Now I'm just wondering how to publish it. Do I publish as Nikki Hall and leave the link to my erotica or do I pursue more traditional publishing under a different name and see where that takes me? I'll have to give it some more thought.

As to my erotica, I'm about 80-90% of the way through my space adventure which is likely to end up with the title Interstellar Sex Dreams and I've also begun a little family romp for Nikki Dark with the working title I Dare You.

Sorry you've all been so neglected, hopefully the result is worth it when I get around to publishing!

Its cover art time ... and that means a poll!

Okay, so I've hit one of those points in time where I have something pretty much ready to be published. It's the onsen adventure that I've mentioned here before. The basics are that a young Aussie girl takes her boyfriend skiing in Japan and ends up having some sexual adventures in the onsen.

I need cover-art for the story and have come up with two options that are below. I'd really like your opinion, so there's a poll!

What's Nikki working on?

WIth the publishing to The Wrong Twin, you may just be wondering what I'll be looking to bring to you next, so here's a little update. As ever my over-active, dirty little mind is churning away and it's been a while since I went through the list of what is in the works.

1. An Onsen Adventure - a young girl finds herself accommodated with a Japanese college ski team and enters the onsen and explores some cultural exchanges. (A Nikki Hall book)

Projected Length: 20k words

Status: Almost ready for first edit

2. The Med-Tech (working title) - inspired by the movie Passenger, a med-tech assigned to ensure successful commencement of a deep-space journey brings women out of their induced hyper-sleep and basically blackmails them to have sex with him to be returned so that they don't die of old age before reaching their destination. With 5000 passengers on board, he has a lot to choose from!

Projected Length: 50k words

Status: Concept, about to be started.

3. The pregnant teen maid - a story that I've already published on literotica that really needs to be finished. (A Nikki Dark book)

Projected Length: unkown

Status: Not started

I.T. ... Or incompetence ... Or a road to another fun little dirty tale.

I''m not the most savvy person when it comes to all things electronic and digital, but sometimes I don't even need to be involved for things to go wrong. 

I do most of my writing on a little iPad mini because it's portable and convenient. It's been mostly fine with only one or two occasions that I've panicked about losing work (or actually done it) and am much better about backing stuff up these days. 

If you follow this you'll know that I've been beetling away on my new story called The Wrong Twin. Everything was going well. 

Then apparently my data provider decided that they would not longer support pre-paid broadband. They simply closed my account. And I missed the one warning email that they sent me. 

It meant that I haven't been able to access The Wrong Twin. Just when I was travelling too.  It was frustrating but I didn't let it get me down. I just started writing something else that has been bouncing around in my head for awhile. That turned out to be an onsen inspired adventure. I even did some "research" for inspiration. That turned out like this:

It's going to be a relatively quick little tale about 20,000 words probably, but hopefully you'll enjoy reading it when I release it as much as I've been enjoying writing it.

And don't worry, The Wrong Twin is back on track!

Okay, so it seems that Facebook didn't like the fact that my presence there represented my pen name rather than the real me. They've shut me down. Well, they managed to shut that page down.

In its place, I have put up an author page (for as long as it lasts). I'm not quite sure how I am going to use the page yet, but as a minimum I'll be sure to be announcing upcoming book launches and providing updates as to what I am working on. It may well be a fair bit of duplication of what goes on here, but might be a little more frequent.
